Default Will it work?

I need some advise for my 1992 Blazer. I don't know if this is the right section to post this in or not. Here is what I have. Its a 1992 Blazer with the 4.3 in it. It blew and I have a old style chevy V8 just lying around. I need to know if the tranny will work or will it burn up in just a few hundred miles. If it will work is there anything special I need to do to make it work. Any feed back will help. Also I think it has a 4L60 in it not sure of that either or not.

Everything will bolt up. Whether it will hold up depends on the health of the transmission. If it is healthy and shifting properly, it should do ok.
