Default Winch Mount?

I was wondering if any one made a winch mount that fits in the front end between the frame rails? Does any one have any pics?
I was thinking of getting a real thick peice of steel and bolting it up to where the skid plate and the tow hook bolts are.. Its there a better way?

I know of a guy that makes them for 2nd gens on a very limited basis. I've got one on mine but no great pics of it on the computer. I'd take some for you but I'm at work for the undetermined future (work offshore).

Pretty much the way you are thinking plus a good bit of gussetting.

I put a brushguard and a 9000 warn on a 86' blazer, moved it to a 96 jimmy with no problem. I think two lower bolts and brackets had to be switched and bolt holes enlarged, no big deal.
No I have a 93 s-10 with it all switched back.

The first link is where to get it, but as you'll see the guy that makes them only does so every now and then. The second link is more of how you need to cut the skid plate but there is a link within with plenty of pics of the winch mount starting on the second page.

The mount is made for ZR2's but can easily be modified for non-ZR2's.
