Default Wont Start

A few days ago i had the bright idea of going mudding. things were fine until on the way back when my blazer (91 s-10 4.3 v6) start acing funny. It started to lag like it was running out of gas.But it stopped so i figured the problem was over. When i got to my friends house and shut it off thats when things went bad. We opened up the hood andpulled out my air filter and there was a few drops of water in the pan. We covered everything back up and i started it up and went to leave and it had no power. It sounded like a severe miss onmore than just onecylinder. So i shutit off and began pulling the spark plugs. I pulled them out cleaned them and gapped them (.040) i put them back in andnow it wont start atall. it turns and turns and turns but wont fire up.it's definetly getting gas cause you can smell it.I've changed my distributor cap and double checked my plug wires. They are hooked up right. Is there anything you guys think that is hould check. My guess is something really easy and stupid that im over looking.

two things come to mind.

verify your plug gap. most are .60, not .40
second pull the plugs and crank the engine over to make sure there is no water in the pistons. water doesn't compress.
