The two lines that tee off near the t-case switch, those are both vent lines. One goes back into the transfer case; the other goes up under the hood (labeled "2" in your diagram).

HELP! 2000 Chevy Blazer climate control & 4x4 vacuum part 2 - YouTube
Around the 2-minute mark, in the part where you point out a hose and say you think it goes down to the transfer case, that is actually the vacuum source line from the engine. It's connected to a one-way valve. From there, it gets further split into one line that goes to the transfer case, and another line that goes into the cab.

At the 2:20 mark (and again at 4:20), that connector thing is what I assume the vacuum pump is connected to. Couldn't see it real clear, but if I had to guess, there is larger-diameter line coming from the engine, which connects to that plastic u-shaped split-off thing; then splitting into one line that goes to the air pump, and other line going to the 1-way valve (shown at the 2-minute mark).

At 2:45, "that extra one", that is the vacuum source line for the t-case vacuum switch. Take a look at the pic here - scroll down to the pic that has the vacuum lines labeled. Should be the same as yours, except you have a vacuum cannister in the fender well; I have a vacuum ball hanging from the hood.

Hope that helps - I think you're on the right track. Just gotta get that vacuum source line figured out...maybe someone who has an air pump can chime in here.....

1999 Blazer,

sorry if this is a hijack, but cannot seem to find the start new thread button
after replacing new vac lines from 4x4 switch up to motor area, manifold to t's near firewall, and to canister in fender (drivers side)
had a hell of a issue with ONLY vents blowing air in cab.

my 4x4 was the original problem and after spending 40 on a new switch that sits on top the tranfer case?, i develpoed this issue with the vents

the pic in here shows the yellow airline to one of the diaphrams behind drivers side dash,
and after testing all the lines (hand pump)
found the rod that the diaphram was attached too , came undone

got a used one from wreckers, and it works like a charm now
defrost, floor vents all in perfect working order now where it was ONLY pushing through the vents before.
relatively easy fix.

my 4x4 would not engage in 4 hi and found the vac line was UNATTACHED from fender canister? area, and blam, easy fix.

pain in the *** to figure this all out, but with the help of this forum, got er done

thanks to all those who add to help'

cheers

PhilTheAlien

I got it lol

But all was fixed, but it happened again, but this time it is due to transmission fluid in the line

Replaced line and works again,

Probably to much in the transfer case and bleeding past the 4x4 switch

But hey, because of this great forum, i now KNOW why and how ta fix =)
