2005 Jimmy Starter Motor Replacement
2005 Jimmy refused to start this morning. Original battery seems to be good, there is power, so it looks like the starter solenoid/motor is finished.
Has anyone done the starter replacement on one of these trucks? How difficult a job is it? Will I need to remove all kinds of parts to get at it or is it easy to get at?
I'd like to get some info before I attempt to do this job. I have replaced starters before, one very easy (on a Ford) the other a real nightmare (on a GM), so I'd like to know what I'm getting into before getting my hands dirty.
Thanks for your input.

Try this!!
Blazer Forum - Chevy Blazer Forums - Search Results
And you can narrow the results down buy putting ("") around the words in the search box. I'm still trying to figure out how to do that so its gives the proper search results! When I do I'll come back and edit this again

I read about the 2000 Blazer being a PIDA, but am wondering about my specific vehicle. When I serviced its limited slip differential, it was quite different from others talked about here, and wonder if the same applies here!

For the starter there is no difference. By limited slip you mean you have the G80 and there is posts on here about that too. As long as your reading a post about a 96' and up blazer the steps will be the same.
