Default 4WD LO blinks and remains black

Hi

After transfer case rebuilt I have issue with 4WD indicator. When 4WD Hi is engaged all works fine. When 4WD LO is engaged then indicator blinks and all three (2WD, 4WD HI and 4WD LO) remain black but 4WD low speed in real is engaged, only indicator works strange. So what it could be? Not fully engaged low traction?

Regards, Marcin

What transfer case do you have? Np233 or np236? (three or four button switch?) if the problem started immediately after the rebuild, there's a good chance that something didn't get put back together correctly.

Did you rebuild it yourself, or have a shop do it?

I have 3 button switch. Car was repaired in the shop so they know how to work in general but Blazer is rather unknown in Poland so maybe some special check, or regulation has to be done.

And to underline - after pressing 4WD LO all 4 wheels are engaged and low traction too. But no one indicator on switch is lighting - all 3 black.

It might the leds in the unit. Mine does the same in 4hi. I've never really put too much into it, it works, that's all I'm concerned lol...

Following tho, just in case there's something I don't know...

I think that is not led. During switching to LO led is blinking. And next is finally not turned on but off

Hey Marcin,
I assume You had it working fine before the shop service, is that right? Then, if it quit signaling properly right after the service, then I'd say this could be a feedback sensor issue. I couldn't find the diagram for 3 button wiring. I am just taking a shot hence there are no better ideas posted :P
Greetings from nearby Radom

Wonder if a pin got broken or bent when the shop plugged the connector back into the encoder motor? Might be worth it to check that.

I'm thinking the solder point of the led... in mine, if I tap it enough when its black and engaged, it'll turn on... that's why I think it might just be a solder point.

But again, it could just be my high Hope's of actually saving money on the blazer lol...

Could be. The stock switches don't seem to hold up very well.

That's why I replaced mine with aftermarket switches.
