Default ABS and Parking Brake Light

Hi all,

Bit of a strange issue with my Blazer I'd like to address. For some time now, my ABS light has been coming on intermittently, often along with the parking brake light, though the ABS often comes on by itself. They seem to come on completely inexplicably, sometimes as soon as I start my truck, other times as I hit a bump, or other times in the middle of driving down a smooth road. To make matters worse, I've had the low speed ABS activation issue, which also happens unpredictably, and it's been impossible to replicate on command. I had the ABS diagnosed some months back, and got the reply that the module (EBCM) needed to be replaced....to the tune of $1200. Anyway, I did some looking and discovered people have had luck resoldering the solenoids/relays, as there are plenty of threads and Youtube vids on this. Unfortunately, they rarely if at all mention the parking brake light as well. I've seen that grounding issues can cause this too...but has anyone experienced this combination of problems? And, would it be worth attempting the resolder repair or chasing ground connections first? As a student away from home, and with limited access to my tools at while at school, I'm trying to avoid creating five projects at once. Just wanted some opinions -- thank you in advance!

Mine was doing that as well.
I watched several YouTube videos on how to repair it via soldering iron. Did it myself without issue in about an hour. But first I checked those places where grounding could be an issue. All mine looked ok, but I live in the south so rust isn't much of an issue. Hope this helps.

Spark Plug wires routed correctly? In their looms?

Mis-routed wires an emit EMI - same as a nuke, and Solid State sensors don't like that. In vettes, ABS Module is often affected by this...

Was told by my *former* mech., that the check engine light (MIL) and parking brake light, are on the same circuit. So the ABS must be as well(?).
