Default choke sticking???

the last few days, my 95 LT will stall upon restarting after in-town driving. Upon re-start it runs, then dies. after setting 3-4 minutes, iit will re-start, but it acts like the choke is sticking! I know - wrong era...but that is what it runs like. Whatever it is, it is not monitored, as I am getting no trouble codes. Any ideas? thanks.....

+1 on that also my 95 egr sticks a lot and gives a similar symptom, google up a pic of it.
Then were it attaches to the motor take a socket extension and rap it with a hammer a few times, if it clear's up it needs to be cleaned.

I know you were joking about your choke sticking. However the new automotive counterpart in the computer world to a choke function is the CTS /Coolant Temp Sensor or ECTS/ Engine Coolant Temp Sensor. That is the sensor that tells the PCM when the engine is cold and to run rich and when the engine is warmed up: now run normal fuel trim. The symptoms of a bad CTS can also be poor gas mileage and rough running.

Angry no - please no

egr valve r&r'ed,; fairly new, not sticking; will try cts/ects sensor replace - BUT...please say it ain't the fuel pump! just replaced entire unit in January. FULL tank to drain! now..FULL tank to drain! airtex-wells unit...usually reliable....any other ideas before i begin to cry???

Have you ever changed the fuel filter. Most people do not. 95 was the last year they were a bitch. I know I have one and had to do something like this. Dorman makes a little extension just for it.

Arrow latest

EGR valve eliminated. fuel pump pressure is perfect -both on not running, and running. eliminates pump and fuel pressure regulator. could it be the pump pressure switch? have not been ambitious enough to dig in under to replace coolant temp sensor......further ideas? fuel filter to replace in minutes...more to come....
