Default door won't open

passenger door won't open from the inside or outside....acts like it's locked? Turning key doesn't work or electronically unlocking with button. When I try to unlock it manually with the slider under the inside door handle it's like it's stuck and doesn't do anything

Can't get door panel off with the door closed, not really sure where to go from here

Sounds like it's the dreaded saggy door / sloppy door hing. Try lifting up on the door and at the same time lifting the handle and tugging it open.
Maybe this will help.

ok thanks
If I ever get it open...lol, I'll replace the hinge pins and bushings and hopefully that helps

seems like there's a lot of places to get the pins/bushings, they're all the same or where is the best place to get them

Couldn't get it open...lifting up as hard as I can and it wont unlock. Prybar under the door lifting didn't help either

Might have to drill/cut out door handle from outside and see if I can get to the linkage or something

What about a slim Jim to try and unlock it, or a coat hanger

Before I destroy the handle

one screw by the "open handle" two screws by the "pull" handle. Pop the bottom of the interior door panel, lift approx 3/4" and you might be able to pull the rods from there. Door panel would be a easier fix then messing with the exterior.

Thought about that too but I have custom door panels and not sure how far I'll be able to pull them out. Maybe if I pull the seat

Got it! Destroyed the door handle though lol

Got a screwdriver and pried the door lock up, was jammed something serious

Good job! Congrats on that
Hopefully the new handle and new latch assembly will go in without too much of a fight.

when I got into my 04 the driver's door wouldn't lock... had the same symptom on the inside lock where it felt like it was jammed up and wouldn't move. opened and closed fine, but after pulling the panel off and looking around, I noticed the latch in the door was actually busted to pieces. I guess the bushings in the door pins wore out in the past and the owner just kept slamming the door to make it shut... they must have replaced the pins and bushings because it's at least a little better now, although they need to be replaced again because there's a little wind noise while cruising down the road, and they didn't put the darn detent springs back in... but anywho, new latch installed and it operates like it should
