Flush yo coooolant!
So... she overheated today. I knew I needed to flush the radiator, and Ive suspected the radiator cap was bad. I flushed it out and got a new radiator cap. Crossing my fingers that the neglect doesnt have long term effects.

Yep. That Dexcool sure changed things. When everyone just used the ethylene glycol, neglected coolant ended up with rust. and sometimes bad head gaskets. Now it just gunks everything up and sometimes eats head gaskets.
"New, Improved!"

Nice flushing setup...at what point do you pour in the Miller Lite? Does it have anti-corrosive properties?

Air in the cooling system can cause bad things for sure. Hope you're replacing that radiator cap too. That coolant doesn't look too bad for what might be 10 years old! Age tends to be the deciding factor for coolant, especially in your case.

I certianly hope he disposes of the coolant in a responsible way.
