Default Possible brake problems..?

So my ABS (anti lock brake system) light has been on for awhile it doesnt seem like a big issue as long as I'm not slamming on brakes. But my parking brake light keeps coming on after I use my brake and then my truck wont shift out of first or second gear. I'll begin to take off and the parking brake light will come on and off and then after going for a few moments it will stay one and then the car doesnt want to shift and has a hard time. Any suggestions?

<-- That may be the first problem. On top if it may be another one that includes the VSS sensor.

A quick check is to look at the ABS sensor wires that go to each of the front wheel hubs. If one or both have been worn so that one of the wires is open-circuit, then you get the ABS light on continuously.

Yup. but also the VSS sensor determines:
- if the vehicle moves or not and
- calculate speed over ground and
- is a reference for shifting gears

No ABS pulses + VSS zero = normal condition, vehicle stopped
No ABS pulses + VSS non zero = normal condition, vehicle moves with a blocked wheel, the ABS comes in
ABS pulses + VSS zero - forbidden state, malfunction (triggers in ABS light + brake). Shifting gears blocked due to a missing reference of vehicle speed. In a common designs, the VSS sensor is omitted and ABS sensor plays that role. But this is Blazer I love <3
