Default Possible door lock actuator issue

Have a 97 Blazer LT 4 door. Got an issue with the door locks. Doors will NOT lock or open with the key fob from outside the vehicle. The doors WILL open and lock with the key fob from inside the vehicle. If I hit the lock switch on the drivers door, all doors will lock and open EXCEPT drivers door. If I lift up on the drivers door handle from the outside while doors are locked, you can hear the drivers door actuator clicking. Pretty sure it's the drivers door actuator, just want to be sure before I drop $150. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like a weak battery in the FOB to me The receiver for the FOB is above the drivers feet, and the FOB might not be transmitting a strong enough signal to make it from outside the vehicle.

As for the power locks... if the keys are in the ignition and you use the inside lock switch on the door, it should lock all doors and unlock the driver door when you let off the switch.

EDIT: There is a switch in the driver outside door handle on SOME models. Lifting the handle will turn on the dome lights, (illuminated entry).

"As for the power locks... if the keys are in the ignition and you use the inside lock switch on the door, it should lock all doors and unlock the driver door when you let off the switch." Locks and unlocks all doors EXCEPT drivers door.

I do have this feature...........and it does NOT work at the moment with either drivers or passenger door.

G Man, one of the circuits might have a problem for handle switch. Try unplugging it at the door handle switch, gotta remove the trim panel
