Starts great, idles fine, dies, but will start right back up
98 Blazer, 5 speed, 4x4. Bought it with a rod knock, rebuilt engine, (complete rebuild with all new parts) also put in new fuel pump and filter. Starts up great and idles smoothly for about a minute, then acts exaclty like it is running out of fuel and dies. Starts right back up and does the exact same thing. Fuel pressure is good, right at about 60 psi and holds that pressure. I guess my question is if there is any advice what to check next. I know the obvious ones would be ignition control module, MAF, maybe the FPR??? Just looking for similar problems and the best place to start as I am stumped.
Sorry if this is a mass repost, but work computer will not allow the search function to work and no internet at home right now. I apoligize if this has been covered but I just had to ask.

I don't think so. The Security light comes on right when I start of course, but then goes off and stays off. When it is stalling out/dieing, the light does not flash at all??

Pass lock would most likley make it die in 1-2 seconds, it does sound like fuel, have you started it and then watched the fuel pressure to see if it goes down as the engine starts to die?

Yeah, I have checked the pressure numerous times just to make sure. Pressure stays constant while it dies and even after. Thats what has me so confused.

Airtex....and from what I am reading from other threads on here, that is not a good one to use.

Yea not the best to use, but since you have pressure i dont know if thats the problem, can you keep it running by revving it up? Or no matter what it will die? Do You have a CEL?

Dies no matter what. Dies if you let it idle, or dies if you rev it up. I am wondering if the Ignition control module or the coil is getting "hot" and not sending spark? I am pretty sure oreillys can check the ICM, but not sure about the coil. I am going to look into those tonight. At least start somewhere

Well update for anyone who cares to read. Figure it may help someone. Spent the night fixing my issue. Tested the coil, ICM, swapped MAF with a know working one, replaced the igntion switch and still same issue. Decided to check the Crank position sensor just to look at it, and it had rub/impact marks on it. When I rebuilt the engine, I put a new front cover on but used the old Crank Pos Sensor. Didn't check gaps or anything. SO bought a new sensor, shimmed it, started the blazer and she runs beautifully. Just thought I would share in case any others had similar issues.
