Default water somewhere in Blazer

Today, we had a heavy rain. Whenever we have rain, my Blazer gets water somewhere. When I go around corners I can hear water moving, it sounds like it was coming from the back. When I start it up it makes that sound too. IS there a hole I could drill some where to keep water setting in my vehicle or is that the way it is supposed to be.

Thats obviously a design feature to help you combat dehyration when stuck in a desert.

It seemedI heared in the back, but I already heard it coming from the front. I couldn't spot where the water is. I have not noticed any wet carpet. In a seperate, or it could be the same problem, I did have water only time coming down from where my(driver) sunviser is attached to the ceiling.

Check your radiator level. The sound on startup is a clear sign of low coolant level and/or a partially clogged heater core.

Ok, I have checked my radiator level and it checks good. I have notice only the sound when and after it rains pretty good. Last night when I was driving it made the sound when I went arounda hard corner. Also I did a wet carpet check and I found under the mat on the driver side it did get wet. But I will be investigating about a possible clog heater core.

Problom solved. Today I drove it some more. It was the same thing. It was coming from the back. So I went underneath at the very back and saw some drops of water. Then I saw a channel with rubber plugs. The plug located on each side look like it could drain water but they were kind of closed. I pulled the plug and water came out. My observation is that the water comes from those vents in behind the rear glass which I believe is normal. Maybe water isn't supposed leak there either.

Default Re: Drain Plugs

I've had the same problem recently after it snows. It's hard to pinpoint where the water actually was while driving, which was the only way to hear it sloshing around.

I found the rubber drain plugs kmartin had mentioned. Tried pulling them, but they were stubborn, so I stuck a flathead screwdriver into the narrow opening of the plug and water poured out of both sides.

Hope this picture helps anyone who has the same issue.
