What brake pads do you recommend
I have 2000 Blazer and want to replace brake pads front and back.
Which are recommended? Am confused by diff brands, ceramic, carbon
metallic etc. Is one type better in front? Or in rear? I dont want screechy brakes. And dont want super expensive either.

i use autozone ceramics...they are lifetime so i only bought one pair. i am on third go around. they last and for that price how can you go wrong??

yeah. i have the same lifetime ones too. im lucky i got them cause my calipers were sticking and i went through 3 sets of pads in a little under a year. i would just bring them in and get new ones for free and you could tell the autozone guys were pissed at me getting so much free stuff lol

Whick autozone ceramic? The $37 or the $55?

the 55

I checked with my local autozone and their warranty here only covers defects in workmanship and part failures, not wear replacement.

Installed the Raybestos Advanced Technology ceramic pads & rotors on my 2000 4x4 this spring and they have good performance & very low noise.

NAPA Ceramics, without a doubt. I would eat through pads every 8k miles (being in the mountains). I payed a bit extra for the ceramic pads from the local NAPA, and wow! 32k miles, and still at +50% life! No squeek, or squeal, and I could put my truck into a noseplow if I had to!

I don't know much about what's best as far as brake's go. But I do know that brake dust is ugly on a wheel.. I have organic pads from napa, they seem fine, stop great, and no black dust.. But like I said, I really don't know much about them.. I hear ceramic is the way to go.
