I have a 2001 blazer that came with a new from Chevrolet 4.3 engine that was manufactured late 2007 and installed early 2008. Would this engine have the newer type spider injection?

The replacement engine would not have come with the fuel injection spider (or even the intake manifold). So whatever was on the old engine was most likely used. 2001 originally used the old poppet style injectors, but they may have been changed out by now.
