Ok im working on a 2000 GMC Jimmy 2dr. I am new into the GM scene i was born into the Ford Family unfortunately
so that bein said i ended up with this car in a trade and i love it! So i decided to put keyless entry on it...i am fairly mechanical and have messed with various types of wiring; amplifiers and subwoofers mostly. So my problem is i have wired my remote start module in. I have double checked even triple checked my wiring and im positive its correct. Alll the dignostic tests that can be performed on the module i have performed and it responds correctly as per the instructions. However when i push the start button it does absolutely nothing. I done some checking and found my vehicle has the passlock II security system. so i purchased the bypass module and wired it in as well, still nothing. Again and again i've checked my wiring with a test meter and i'm at the point where i just dont know what to do? If any one can help it would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks ahead of time

For starters, you haven't listed any pertinent information about what it is you installed, onto what wires, etc, etc, etc...
And if it were all hooked up correctly, it would start on command.

Ok its a ready remote remote care starter model 23927 made by directed electronics nothing special kind of a low end kit.
Black=ground(grounded to chassis)
Ignition one= pink measures 12volt in run and start
Igntion two=white measure 12volts in run position only
Accesory= orange in gm vehicle 12volt in run position only
Yellow= yellow measures 12 volt in start only
Orange= white wire off brake switch measures 12volt when pedel is depressed
Tach wire=my module has a no tach option which i chose to use it basically is supposed to take a voltage increase into account from the alternator charging. so i ground this wire
I've got a hood pin installed so the unit cannot be started with the hood up... hooks directly to my module
I do have a module that temoporarily bypasses the passlock two and after installing that it tells me if the vehicle will start and run for longer than a few minutes than it wired in correctly.
As i said the remote start module will light up the dash lights before i program it and after the programming is completed everything turns off as it should...im just recieving no response from the module when i push the start button.
I'm New to the remote start deal so if im not being clear i apologize. and if i left anything out please let me know... I really appreciate the input thanks!!

I just realized in my first post i said it was a keyless entry system...this is wrong...it is remote start system and the keyless entry is optional

Fist i would start with is there 12v at your yellow wire when you hit remote start. If so i would say its a passlock problem. If you do not have 12v at your yellow wire when ya hit start then its something else. It looks to be wired correct to me but i dunno about your passlock module you bought. Heres a couple of web pages that might help.

Passlock module was made by the same company and was the part they actually recommend...ok i do know this when my key is in the ignition i have twelve volts when i turn it to start...when the key it out of the ignition and i hit the start button on the transponder there is no kind of voltage at all...its as if my transponder isn't programmed with the module...but i have reprogrammed it to make sure; the module flashes 4 times which according to my manual means it programmed the remote succesfully. im at work but ill do some more checking tonight and see what voltage the yellow wire gets when i push the start button
