Default '01 Blazer won't start (intermittent problem)

I turn the key all dash lights come on but will not start (makes no sound at all). Lights don't dim at all when the key is turned. After a while (could be 2min or 2hrs) it'll start without any problem whatsoever. Never a clicking sound or sound of a struggling starter. It either starts up immediately or won't make a sound.

Newer battery. I checked the charge when it started and appears the battery and charging system are fine.

Any ideas? Thanks for any info.

John

Another vote for the ignition switch. There is a circuit specifically for the starter. Check out the link in my signature for an article that I wrote on that subject.

Thanks for the replies.

Great article on the switch. Is there a way to test it before replacement to confirm it is the problem?
