'01 Wiper problem
Howdy-
I'm having an issue with the wipers on my '01 Blazer. I activated the washers the other day, and the wipers wouldn't stop. I cycled the wiper switch on and off, and it didn't help. I finally pulled over and turned off the truck when the wipers were laying down, and when I started it back up, they stayed off.
I had a similar problem with a '98 Tahoe I used to own, and it turned out to be a wiper control module on the firewall. It was also a frequent problem with that model vehicle.
Just curious- has anyone seen this sort of problem with the S-10 series vehicles?
Thanks!

Thanks for that. I read that DIY article, and I'm just not sure if that's my problem or not. My wipers don't "have a mind of their own" like described in the write-up, they just won't turn OFF when I tell them to.
Hmmm. Well, I guess it's time for more research and troubleshooting...

Mine did the same thing (wouldn't shut off) and it was the pulse board as described in the DIY article. I'm no good at soldering so I purchased a brand new one off ebay for about $30.00. Simple to install and wipers have worked perfect ever since.
