01 XBlazer battery drain, no dash guages...
My 2001 Xtreme Blazer keeps draining the battery. After using a walmart battery for a couple of years, I put in an Optima Red Top and it was
fine for 2 more years. Now it drains the battery after a few days off the trickle charger. Took it to an Automotive Electric shop and they told me that it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours to find the problem. 4 days later they tell me they THINK its the radio! After 3 weeks the battery is still draining
and now the dash guages are not working correctly. No Odometer, No RPMs, No MPH, some dash lights work, some don't. Oil pressure looks ok, Amps look ok, fuel not reading right. Temp not reading right either!
Any help would be appreciated,
thanks,
mike

Replaced the ignition switch, fuse under battery, cleaned neg. ground connections, u-pull it dash cluster, new sony xplode HU. No problems with
the battery draining and the gauges seem to working correctly.
