I was driving down the highway going to my exit, it was in 3rd gear. I accelerated and the truck bucked slightly at 43MPH. Then as I shifted into 5th and reached 70 MPH it bucked again. I then came down my street and when I hit 43MPH again it bucked. It's a long street so I took it up to 70MPH to see if it was a one time thing and it bucked again at 70MPH.
Anyone have this happen before? I filled up Sunday with Sunoco 93 for the first time since owning the truck in Jan. of '07. Shell was 40 miles away and I was on fumes. I always have religiously(sp?) putShell 93 since owning the truck. Unsure if this is the problem but it's the first time it has happened to me in any vehicle I have ever driven..

I'll leave it up to people smarter than me to address the bucking. I just wanted to make the point that your truck will run just fine on regular 87 octane and the extra octane does not add to your miles per gallon. You're just wasting money paying for the 93.
Good Luck.
Good Luck.

you didnt descreen your MAF did you? If so that is the problem. If not, try cleaning the MAF with some MAF cleaner from Autozone. My truck did the same thing, but it was because I descreened the MAF. It would jump whil driving on the highway and around 45mph. I too have a 5-speed.

If I may say Garry,Adding high octane if good and not a waiste of $$$.I'm no saying to always put high octane but around every 3-4 Fuel up,its good.puts less crap in the injectors.A couple of mecanics I know said that my & more models have a tendencies of having injector issues and suggested to do a high octane fuel up every once and a while.Maybe we are getting all the junk gaz here in Canada,I don't know
...
my 2 cents...

Higher octane does not always equal more detergents. A MUCH more cost effective way of keeping your injectors clean is a bottle of Chevron w/ Techron 20gal treatment every oil change. Dump it in right before you fill up and enjoy having that extra $0.20/gallon in your pocket. Also if available in your area, use Top Tier gas only. If you have ethanol blended fuel in your area, this will clean out injectors better than most fuel injector cleaners.

I have checked and the MAF screen is in place. Since that day it hasn't happened again. I have blasted it a few times with the cleaner. thanks for the help
