Hey guys i just signed up because we've been having some problems with our blazer. We had the transmission rebuilt about a year ago. And recently its been acting up. Around 40 and 50 mph i beleive it wont stay in one gear it jumps constantly from 3rd to 4th. So as your driving you have the motoring constantly revving up. Also when i you toss it in drive its got a real harsh kick in it. When its in park it has a high idle 1300rpms. Any one got any suggestions.

I would start with getting the high idle taken care of. It could be caused by a large vacuum leak or a faulty IAC (idle air control) valve which is located near the throttle body on the upper intake.

what vaccum lines do you suggest me checking the brake booster vac. line is fine.

You have to verify that you do not have a leak. Any vacuum line is fair game.

Hey xckid i have the same car as you. Under the hood to your right there is a black ball looking thing with 2 holes one has a vacuum hole going to the back of the engine the other hole is plugged off. Is that correct or is something missing, i ask because this is how i bought the vehicle and the hose was disconnected. Just check under your hood and tell me if its the same or what yours is like. Thanx i cant find any vacuum diagrams any of you guys have a link or something? 95 v6 2wd
