Default 1995 S10 Blazer intermittent P0172

1995 S10 Blazer, 4x4, Auto with intermittent P0172 code Fuel Trim System Rich Bank 1

Will clear after 3 drive cycles or can clear with scan tool but returns after a day.

Scan Tool Snap shot
Code P0172
RPM 1942
Load 29.8
Map (HG) 23.0
Coolant Temp 189
ST FTRM (%) -11.7
LT FTRM (%) -18.0
Speed 36
Fuel Sysyem Closed

Any ideas what would cause an intermittent P0172 code

Jim

here is more info on the code https://blazerforum.com/forum/diagnostic-trouble-codes-dtcs-49/p0172-explained-28942/
follow the Diagnostic Chart (Part 1-3) and if that help thank swartlkk for is amazing write-ups

Maybe a intermediate stuck open injector or maybe it just takes some time for the computer to take notice that it is rich.
Is your mpg dropping?

It will run 3-5 hours between P0172 & service engine soon light. Runs good even when get P0172. Checking the mpg to see if dropped. Have read swartlkk's guide and guides on http://www.obd-codes.com. Currently waiting on the factory service manual from Helms before starting
