1996 2WD 4.3 Heater core

Anybody know the max PSI back pressure that can be applied attempting to unclog a heater core while in-sit-u without causing damage?

I've hooked up the hose and have gone full blast without any damage. But could be luck of the draw. I've also gone both ways after unclogging to get any remaining out. Again could be luck of the draw...
