So the other day i started to get some weird problems with my Jimmy. Every now in then while accelerating it will just stop accelerating and bog down while surging between 1800-2500 RPMS then fix it self. Recently i just did the sparkplugs. I also noticed a faint smell of fuel in my oil. These are the codes being put out.

P1335 Crankshaft position sensor (CKP)/camshaft position sensor (CMP) -signal variation

P1406 Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve position sensor -range performance

P1441 Evaporative emission (EVAP) system -leak detected

P0300 Random/multiple cylinder(s) -misfire detected


then 2 other codes about the speed sensors. how do i go about fixing these and finding out where and whats the problem and can these cause the current issue with my acceleration?

 

p1441 should have nothing to do with performance. its just detecting a leak somewhere in your evap system, could be as minor as a cracked gas cap.

the other 3 can. crankshaft position sensors are pretty easy to replace on these trucks. also the egr if stuck open can cause a major vacuum leak. if you get lucky the p0300 code can be caused by one or both of those codes unless you actually have a misfire going on.

 

DTC's must be diagnosed and repaired in the order they are retrieved. If P1335 is the first one, it may be causing the others to set. After the first DTC is repaired, all codes must be cleared and a General Motors Driving Cycle performed. If a DTC is set before, during, or after the drive cycle is completed, it must be diagnosed and repaired before proceeding. Repeat the process until no DTC's are set after completing the drive cycle.
