1996 Jimmy brake line box

Question 1996 Jimmy brake line box

Just have a question more of curosity than anything.Today when replacing a rusted brake line the line I was replacing screwed onto a a big aluminum box with other brake lines that screw into it.I dont what its called or purpose is,does anyone know?Thanks

Depends how big of an "aluminum box" you're talking. Could be the EBCM, (Electronic Brake Control Module) which is the main component of the ABS, (Antilock Brake System). Or it could be the proportioning valve. Can you post an image of the "aluminum box"?

That would make sense since the box has eletrical connections as well with 4 lines that fasten onto the top of it.Thanks
