i just changed my fule pump and my truck starts and runs for like 30 mins then the pump stops working. i droped the tank unpluged the clip that goes to the pump then put back in and it will run 4 a wile then the pump shuts off. i do it all over agian and it still shuts off after like 30 min? any one have any ideas?

 

Change out your fuel pump relay. It is locatedunder the hood near the ac relay etc.

 

Take it back its defective

 

Back probe the +12V feed to the pump and see if that is what is dropping out or if it is the pump stopping on its own. That will give you direction on which way to go (defective pump or power supply).

 

Did you replace the fuel filter when you replaced the pump?

Oh and my fuel pump relay is located in the glove box, next to the horn relay.
