1998 blazer 4x4 idler arm help

and i am back with another problem starting to hate my truck lol so my idler arm has been coming unbolted at the frame i tryed to put new bolts in but the damage is done and the frame has been beaten up so the bolts keep moving around now for the question part can i put a plate inside the frame and bolt it up and drill the idler arm holes in the bolted plate to in theory make a new part of the frame how thick is the frame and how many holes will i need to make this plate secure in there

Depending how bad it is, you might need to straighten the frame where it's damaged. Then you'll need to cut a steel plate ~3/16" thick and the same height as the frame and maybe 6" long and weld it to the frame. Drill holes using the old ones as a template, after the plate is welded on. Afterwards you'll need an alignment.
