Default 1998 blazer with plastic tank

I have a leak in the plastic fuel tank on my blazer. Can I replace it with the steel tank without any problems??

Thanks in advance

Yep, you should have no problem as long as it's from the same body style. 2 door-2 door, 4 door - 4 door.

When I put a fuel pump in my 98, there was one pump for the plastic tank and another pump for the metal tank, not sure why except the metal tank holds more fuel. You may need the pump for the metal tank also.
Does anyone know if the metal tank is deeper??

Yeah, I noticed the pump for plastic or metal also. I seen a tank/pump combo at rock auto (I beleive). I know I'll need the pump for a metal tank though. I wasnt sure if their was a difference in the fuel system for metal or plastic tanks
