No need to nitpick crap to death.
You are right, it wasn't the original post, it was the third post (also by the OP) that said TBI.
Posting correct info is not nitpicking.

This brings up a sore point with me.
MANY times I see bad or misleading info on threads that COULD take someone in the wrong direction.
If it's never pointed out it is the exact model of the old game "Telephone" and gets passed on.
Sadly there's no 'Snopes' for stuff like this. and if correcting wrong assumptions gets someone's panties in a twist, Tough [email protected]!

'Nitpicking' is NOT 'unkind', it's more like Tuff Love.

O.K., O.K. Don't worry about the nitpick thing cause I understand how hard it is to help/explain something if you don't have all of or the correct info. sometimes a little difference in a detail can make a difference. So personally I don't get offended. That being said, your all gonna kill me cause I just found out that my hubby DIDN'T change the filter yet, he's been buried with work and the day I thought he did, he just popped under, saw that it was rusted to beat all and decided to check the pressure before he messed with the filter. So we got a gauge and there is like NO pressure. So I decide(since hubby is so busy) to change the filter myself. Got the quick release off ,got the bracket off, and in trying to get the badly rusted fitting off, I twisted the damn thing right of-as in- broke the line right behind the nut. So now we need to replace the fuel line from the filter back. You all can beat me to death now for all the aggravation. Hubby's not going to be happy with me now for not waiting. I don't suppose it's possible to replace that line without dropping the tank??

Lol! Dont beat yourself on that. Before you tell him about it, ask where the PBlaster is.

If he doesnt have any or says 'I use WD 40', then just give him an 'Uh-huh' and a wink and nod. Cause he would'a prolly broke it anyway.
Pblaster
5 minutes
Pblaster again
5 minutes
Try wrench WITH BACKUP
if no joy,
Pblaster again
1 hour

Do a search on
Blazer S10 fuel line repair tubing
and voila:
https://www.carpartsdiscount.com/aut...tml?3593=44236

Why do you think they make them...

HOWEVER, you did not answer the 'do you hear the fuel pump'. If you dont, that 0 lbs reading means diddly. And even a clogged filter will allow some pressure through.

Yea, I used some penetrating oil first but it was pretty bad so I figure I'm not stronger than him and he would have done the same thing, like you said. That's my story and I'm stickin to it! As far as the pump, yes it runs when the key turns on. Thanks for the help. No matter what now we have to get that new filter back on. I think I'll wait till hubby has time and just be a helper!

Well, I'm a big believer in 'Girl Power' but there's something to be said for that. Be contrite and say ''Sorry, should have waited" and that might bring some other benefits.

BTW there's 'frees rusty and sticking parts' and then there's PBlaster. There might be some that work as good but why bother. If you've ever done exhaust manifold to exhaust pipe nuts, the truth is self evident.

It works great on red, on white and on green corrosion.

Aha! That means your filter WAS totally clogged -weird- what's in the old one?
OR
It means there's a serious breach in the FP assembly inside the tank. Assuming you have not smelled gas all over the truck. Could be the pump itself came apart internally but highly unlikely. MORE likely the tube from pump to assy bulkhead nipple. OR the pump intake came apart.

You're welcome.
