Default 1998 Stock Plug Gap?

I just bought a 1998 Blazer, someone degreased the engine and blew off the stickers.

Can anyone tell me the stock spark plug gap for a 1998 Blazer LS 4x4?

The manual says .045, but the old plugs were atleast twice that (but they were the plugs that came with the truck off the assembly line). I gapped the new plugs to .045, but now it is missing and studdering when at low RPM. I replaced the wires when I did the plugs and checked all the connections, so I don't think they are the problem.

Any Suggestions?

My Haynes manual says 1996 on is .060. 94 and 95 were .045

One thing you'll want to make sure of is that if anyone has used dielectric grease on the wires, you'll need to ensure that the wires aren't working themselves off at the distributor. I had to actually use a thin screw driver to 'burp' the wire boots at the distributor on my truck. The boots would seal so well to the terminals that the trapped air would build up pressure and eventually push the plug back enough to disconnect it from the electrical connection inside.

Beyond that, yeah, the proper plug gap is 0.060".

Yeah I get to pull the plugs again! Cause the first time wasn't enough fun, #3 was a ton of fun.

Thanks for the responses, I wonder why the owners manual says .045? I had a feeling that it was wrong when I was looking at the gap on the old plugs.

Nevermind, I went to check the cap and found a vaccum line I must have knocked off when I was Changing the plugs/wires. It runs great now.
