1999 4WD S-10 Front Wheel Bearing
I need to replace the driver's side bearing.
Anything special I need to know before proceding? I have the caliper and rotor off, just need to borrow a deep well socket to get the nut off.
Also, what is the recommended torque for the nut during re-assembly.
Thanks!

RE: 1999 4WD S-10 Front Wheel Bearing
I have a 2000 chevy blazer that is currently giving me trouble and it sounds like the wheel bearing, from what a garage told me. its the left front wheel. i have rotated the wheels to make sure it wasn't the rim and had all of the tires ballanced. so far no luck. i'm about to get into pulling the whole wheel off and get into the bearings. it makes a loud road noise sound when driving, also the original tire i had on it wore down bald only on the inside. any help from anyone would be great, thanks!!!!

Tighten the wheel hub and bearing assembly to the steering knuckle mounting bolts to 105 Nm (77 ft. lbs.) .
Tighten the drive axle nut to 140 Nm (103 ft. lbs.) .
The drive axle nut is an interference fit nut and will fight you the entire way off. If you don't have an air impact, it'll tire you out quick. Other than that, it's pretty straight forward. Not knowing the year of your vehicle, you may have an ABS sensor in the steering knuckle that should be removed prior to pulling the bearing/hub. If you have one, be very careful as they damage easily.
