1999 no brake, hazard, turn lights on right rear side

I have a lighting issue on my 1999 Blazer. My right rear tail lights fail to illuminate in all conditions except as running lights when the headlights are turned on.
The filaments in each bulb are not burned out, and yet I get no illumination of the right rear lights during brake application, right turn signal use, or when hazard flasher switch is activated.
From some searching around on the internet I came across suggestions that the turn signal/multifunction switch could be the culprit.
Does that sound reasonable? Any other ideas?

Stop lamp, hazard, & turn signal, all use the same filament in the bulb. Have you tried a new bulb? Have you checked for battery voltage & ground at the terminals in the sockets? Ground terminal must show less than 5 ohms resistance to ground.
