2000 back glass fit a 1995?
trying to find out if the back glass on a 2 door 2000 blazer will fit a 4 door 1995 blazer. I'm trying to part out the 2000 and someone asked me and I'm not sure so I figured I'd ask here.

No. The years are fine, but glass between 2 and 4 door is different.
You also have to be mindful of if your buyer has a liftgate or a tailgate.

ok, I knew there was difference in all the side glass, but wasn't sure if the back glass would be any different. thanks

Yea the back glass on a two door is expensive as hell. If you get a deal on it, it might be worth just reselling

I'd like to know why the hell GM ever did away with the tailgates???? I HATE the liftgates, and can see NO benefit to them. Only losses(shorter lumber loads, no workbench, etc...).
Does anyone have a clue why they changed?

When you talk lift gate is this a one piece that opens up? Not the split one. If so, I've not seen one. What models came like that? Any pics?
Certainly beats the one on my wife's RAV4. the damn thing is a huge door, hinged on the right & a PIA when someone parks behind & you want to pack stuff in or get stuff out.

Lift gate versus tail gate
My wife makes and delivers wedding cake. So we jumped on the opportunity to buy the neighbor's 2000 lift gate (53,000 miles) and sell our '96 tail gate (127,000 miles). With the lift gate, she doesn't have to reach over the bottom of the tail gate with heavy layers of cake. And the lift gate serves as a nice umbrella. Of course, don't park where someone can get close to the back!

I do like having the lift gate in the rain My biggest complaint about it is that due to the curve of the lower half, Im prone to walking into the gate when its up...I guess that means I need more lift
Kiwi heres a pic of my liftgate:
I would like the tailgate for the extra length and having the shelf there...but..when working under truck...thats an extra foot I have to crawl out before getting up
