Default 2000 Blazer ABS Light on

Hey guys I have done some looking around on this problem. I have not found the exact problem I have but some of the post were close. I replaced my wheel hub berrings about 2 months ago. My wife was driving last night on the highway and her ABS light came on. SO I took the blazer to work this morning and yep the abs light came on. I did not feel the abs come on at all or anything like that. The breaks feel great and having no problem stopping. From looking on the site it seems that I have a bad ABS sensor. I went to Autozone and they said they can not check ABS codes. I dont think that is true. I dont think the kid new what he was doing. Is that part true or untrue. Anyway How would I go about finding out if its the right or left sensor or could something else set off the ABS sensor light. Here is where my problem is different I have no ABS. I tryed the ABS test I got up to 25mph and slammed on the breaks and I skidded. Could this mean I might have a bad fuse. Any ideas would help guys.

If the light is on, there are stored codes. A generic scan tool will not be able to access the ABS control module to pull the codes. You must use an enhanced scan tool to do that.

so kyle i figured that out after doing some more looking into I pulled the ABS fuse because after I posted this morning I went to the gas station and as i we pulling in to a spot i hit the breaks and the abs went off. So i read to fix that problem temperately is to pull the big green fuse under the hood. so i did. But now when I come from a dead stop the car jearks from 1st to 2nd but 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th there is no jeark at all. Is that caused by the pulling of the fuse.

It is possible that it is due to the fuse being out. Stranger things have happened.

My blazer has done that since I bought it 2 years ago. The ABS was disabled when I bought it, I was told the ABS pump was bad. It brakes just fine, but the 1-2 shift is quick, like it has a shift kit. It's not harsh, just firmer than 2-3 or 3-4.

i have removed my abs fuse for offroading purposes and my abs light is always on, BUT my tranny does not jerk in any gear, i cannot see the two being connected in any way, something has increased the shift pressure. when was the last time you changed your tranny fluid and tranny fluid filter?

Since I Posted that about the jeark from gear 1-2 It has not done it again. So this weekend will start the fun of finding what is wrong with my ABS I hope its not the pump I hope its a wire or some kind of sensor at least that will be a easy fix.
