hey guys i got a 2000 blazer and i cant figure it out. A few weeks ago my blazer went under water and died. when i got it out it would crank but no start, i pulled the plugs and changed the oil and let it crank over to dry out. i got it started but it was running rough so i went and got the codes ran and they said cylinder 6 misfire. also its getting terrible gas milage, and the service engin soon light flashes on and off when driving for awhile. so i REPLACED ALL PLUGS, WIRE, DISTRIBUTER CAP, THROTTLE POSITION SENCOR, AND A NEW IGNITION COIL, AND I BROUGHT IT IN and had them put it on the fuel system cleaner. i cant figure it out and dont want to bring it into the shop any suggestions thanks.

 

Have you tested the compression? Maybe you hydro locked the engine and damaged the #6 piston and/or valves.

 

the compression is the same as all other cylinders and no loss of power at all when driving or pulling
