Default 2000 blazer power seat problem

Hey guys I looked all night on the site for a answer to my problem with no help. My wifes 2000 blazers driver side seat will not recline back. It recline forward but will recline backward to a point and stop. It looks like that the seat is off trace when recline. Everything else works fine just cant recline the seat back. Any ideas on how to fix this problem. I have looked all over the site with no answer. Please give me some advice.

pull the seat out take the upper seat cover off

something is stuck in the mechanism most likely,i know you probably didn't want to pull the seat but thats the easiest way to see whats going on.

Mine will not recline at all forward or backward. I checked it today. You can get the cover off by unsnapping the front from the back of the cover. The long snap clip runs the length of the cover underneath the bottom of the top cover above the seat portion. Then just wiggle the cover up about a foot until you expose the motor. Mine was completely broken from the gears, not correctable without trip to pick and pull. Hopefully better findings for you.
