Default 2000 Blazer Stalling after new fuel pump install

Hi, I have a 2000 4 door S10 Blazer, I just installed a new fuel pump, and now when i stop hard at a light or to turn anywhere the engines dies. This only happens when i have less than 1/2 tank. It will start immediately after dieing. Its like the fuel is sloshing to the front of the tank, I thought that the fuel pump housing was suppose to retain fuel to stop this problem, I have droped the tank 3 times trying to figure this out and i am at a loss so any help would be appreciated.

My newest guess is that the new pump is diff than the old new in ref to how deep its sitting in the tank!! I reason i had asked about the brand was because these blazers dont do too well when ya dont use AC Delco parts!! I know ya may not want to drop the tank again but if nuthing else was wrong with the truck b4 the pump then i`m looking at the pump being the culprit... What happened to make you put a new pump in it in the first place???

Thanks, I went ahead and dropped the tank today to take a look and the filter thats on the bottom of the housing was actually on backwards so it was holding that little one way flapper valve open. Put it back in and haven't had a problem since. The reason for the new pump is the old one would only run for about 50 miles and then it would stop working so it was junk. Thanks for the help

I`m glad to hear you were able to get it fixed, and thank you for coming back and posting it that you did fix it... something def seemed wrong on the pump section by the way you had described it..but until something else breaks, go CRUISIN!!!!!!!!!!!!.. njoy every minute that it runs and drives, and not being clunkered ............
