I have a 2000 blazer Zr2. it will start and run and die after a few mins and sometimes not start at all. I am going to replace the crank sensor and see if this helps do to me doing some research and people saying that could be the issue. Some people said you can unhook the battery and it will be fine after a restart and some say you have to do a relearn but I never found where they sound how to do the relearn if it is needed? while it run long enough to get it to a shop to do this after I change the sensor or do I need to tow it there?

BUMP!!!!!! want to get this done as soon as possible. thanks!

To do the passlock sytem relearn, you need to turn the key to on (don't try to start) for 11 min, off for 30 sec, on for 11 min, off for 30 sec, on for 11 min, off for 30 sec. Turn the key to on for 30 sec then try to start it.

... I think that's what you were asking, not 100% sure.

Yea I'm not sure either. Haven't really been able to find what I'm suppose to do.

Yea I'm impatient. It's not been running right for 2 months. You can't drive it far it will die and not start back up when it dies it will kinda stumble and flash the ses light then die and not restart all day or for days. Will last about 10 min when it does it or less. It flashes the kight but does not have a code when scanned. I have changed the ignition module, coil, cam sensor, fuel filter. Yes it has spark. It was starting and instantly dying then After the coil would run for a few min and die.

+1, also if you changed the cam sensor you will have to do a cam shaft sensor relearn. I know the gm tech 2 is capapble of it, not sure about other scanners.

You will need a capable scan tool. Any GM dealer can do it for you. Not sure how much they will charge but its a 5 minute procedure. I would do a fuel system diagnosis first, then get the relearn done. It sounds like you may have a fuel system or ignition problem.
