2000 Chevy blazer 4x4 squeaking
Hey guys i have a 2000 Chevy Blazer ls 4x4 with just under 85,000 miles. I have a bad squeak when i drive on uneven roads. If i am on the highway witch for the most part is pretty smooth and even i have no squeak. I am not super good at fixing cars but I can do simple stuff. I have looked on here about my problem and got some good answers. But the one question I had I could not find the answer. I am pretty sure I know what my problem is. Worn out control arm bushings. I really don't have the skills to do this repair my self or nor do I want tp pay some one to fix it. Is there any way I can grease up the bushings and get them to stop squeaking. Any one have a good tip on what to do beside replacing them. Any ideas you guys have would be great even if it quites it down a bit. On my scale of 1-10 10 being unbearable sound. My squeak is a 5. If you have a idea to get it down to a 2 that would be great. Thanks guys.
Could be any number of things. You should start by spraying some spray lubricant on the joints in the suspension and greasing those points which can be greased. I would concentrate on the sway bar mounts and the control arm pivots at the frame.
Nothing special is required. General, off the shelf grease will do.
Inner/outer tie rods, pit man & idler arm joints, top and bottom ball joints. Those are the points were you should find a grease zerk. If you do not find one in these locations, then the parts may have been replaced with non-serviceable parts which sucks.

I had a squeak last week. just started out of no where. It ended up being the new ball joints I put on. Apparently the place I had the oil changed was not lubing at all. A couple of shots of grease with the gun and all is well. In fact it drives better as well.
