Default 2000 Chevy S-10 Blazer ISSUES

Good Morning,

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

I am thinking fuel pump or alternator issue.?.

Started up my Blazer a bit ago and hit the wipers, they were not moving at the speed they should be, (I cranked the A/C, yes I know better but I did it. I drove a short way radio would come on and go off. The gauges quit working all together, no speedometer but the battery light would flicker then stay on. The Engine light was on but has been on for over a year, the guys at the shop didn't reset the codes when they replaced a charcoal canister.

SO anyways, the truck would lunge and then slow down, POWER SURGES?

Oh yeah and I pushed on the gas and listened and the engine did not rev-up?

Drove for a total of 10 15 mins then it died completely and would not restart.

Any thoughts or ideas?

There was an auto zone close by I should have left it there but I thought I would nurse it home. Please help me.. Thanks Everyone.

Sounds like you may be experiencing a failing ignition switch.

How talented does one have to be to fix that problem.
I imagine it will be me =) making the attempt to fix?
How would I have that tested and verified?
Thanks

(do you think it will start back up to get it home less than 5 mins from home)

Have a look through the links in my signature for what goes wrong with the ignition switch. The Tech Article (DIY) link will lead you to a thread with the posted tech articles which includes a how-to on replacing the ignition switch.
