question: are there drains on both driver and passenger sides between the fenders and doors?

when I pour water into cowl it drains out over on the passenger side but not on drivers side.

i'm hoping a drain is just clogged on the driver side.

currently its leaking in a spot on drivers side where there is a bundle of wires under the carpet!

can I unclog this without taking off the inner fender panel? The screws holding it on are so rusty I am afraid they will crumble.

and finally: anyone have any tips for absorbing the moisture that's been in the carpet for a while and how to neutralize the smell?
