Default 2001 4.3L Starting problem

Hey , I have a 01' s10 Blazer 4.3L Auto 115k - sometimes when i go to start the truck nothing happens when i turn the key, the battery voltage is fine, and i can hear the relay click under the hood when i turn the key, but there is no sound at all coming from the starter... no clicking nothing... if i keep cycling the key enough times eventually it starts, and when it does the starting sounds strong and normal... any idea's??? solenoid?? thanks yall

Try checking the connections at the battery and starter to make sure there's no corrosion and all of them are tight.

If the voltmeter drops the width of the indicator needle, that's a good sign of a bad solenoid. If any lights dim, bad connection as pointed out above.

First thing is to pull the starter relay out and look for burnt /discolored pins. Those would idicate a bad connection with the fuse block connectors
Then swap it with the rear defroster relay. Any relay in the underhood block can be swapped with any other marked with the same numbers.
