Arrow 2001 Blazer - 4wd buttons slipping

Recently while driving home the 4wd button on the dash of my 2001 Blazer dash switched it's self to 4wd Low. I took it to the shop had a tranny flush and fill, today it switch to 4wd High.

I asked at the shop if there is any linkage that needed to be adjusted and they said no....any ideas or suggestions?

How many buttons do you have on the switch?

There are 3 buttons on just to the right of the steering wheel above the stereo 2HI, 4HI and 4Low. There are also the automatic transmission options on the steering column to choose from. P,R,N,D,and a couple of lower options.

Not sure if the '01 is the same as the '99, but my '99 had a similar problem. My 4wd control unit, located to the right of the front passenger's feet, had water seeping down onto the plug. Have a look for corrosion on the pins of the plugs, clean it up as required, then reconnect it and see if the problem returns.

If the control unit is ok, it could be the 3 button switch. I have the 4 button one on my car, but have a spare 3 button switch if you need to replace yours. It's brand new, never fitted. Was sent to me by mistake when I ordered a new 4 button one. The seller didn't ask for it back, just sent me the 4 button one no extra charge. Let me know if you need it and I'll work out a decent price for you.
