2014 is the year of the never ending repair for me and my Blazer.

-In January I had to put in a new fuel pump, filter, and battery.
-July the blazer got a new intake manifold gasket and all the accompaniments.

for awile I've noticed a slight lurching when over 40 or 50 mph.. tachometer moves a bit and I can feel it. any passengers can not feel the lurching however as its very slight (I asked).
-so I got a tune-up ... new plugs, wires, cap and an oil change while in the guts. and the lurching started dissipating but is still there ...

and now..

NOW......

the Check engine light turned on yesterday on way to work (Mon 8/25)
at first nothing happened...I re-tightened the gas cap. Blazer running fine...

On way home from work the Blazer would lurch hard when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear.

This morning it shifted fine into second gear till I was almost to work then at the last light started up with the hard lurch into 2nd. Check engine light still on.

I'm leaning towards needing a trans fluid and filter change? I"m trying to understand as much as I can before I take it into a garage so I understand what they are telling me and hopefully I won't get taken advantage of.

 

Also a few weeks ago the left blinker started blinking twice as fast as right one. I checked the lights and they all seem fine... just fast on the left... not sure if this issue may be connected or not. and how do I get it to stop that? its annoying as hell.
