Default 2001 Blazer mass air flow

Changed the mass air flow sensor & with some persistence, it started. Drove it around, parked it, a few hours later went on an errand, started like new. Parked it for the night, next morning, wouldn’t start. Cranked but wouldn’t catch. Figured I had bought a bad sensor so took out the one from a parts van& again, started up, did a few trips to town, no problem. Each time it started right up. Parked it last night, same problem this morning, turns over, just won’t catch.

Just to get that right.

Old MAF out.
New MAF in, starts, runs fine but causes no-start issue after 1 night.
New MAF out.
Another new MAF in, starts, runs fine and causes same no-start issue after 1 night.

Is this correct? Did it start and run in the meantime?

Questions:
The MAF is the correct replacement?
Does the 2001 MAF feature the IAT sensor within the MAF? (Could be cold start)
It was just an unplug, remove, put new one in, plug in job? (No re-wiring, no re-pinning of connectors?)
And everything is back in place, all clamps tightened to specs, no hoses forgotten, no hissing sounds from vacuum?

I've heard of intake air temp sensors causing problems with the computer not knowing to make the fuel mixture more rich when the air and engine are cold when first starting.

MAF sensor isn't going to cause a no-start. Must be moving wiring.
