All I know is that if you can afford an authentic GM radiator from the GM dealer, do it. I ended up returning the radiator I got from oreilly's, and bought one from the GM dealer. The GM radiator kicks butt compared to the aftermarket radiator. I could tell when I removed it from it's box that it even looked 10 times better quality than the orielly's radiator. The GM radiator doesn't even have that useless drain plug anymore.
(The short little pipe that sticks out of the radiator where the drain plug used to be is still there on the new GM radiator, but it's not drilled through to the radiator, so it needs no plug in the end of it)..also good idea to get the right transmission cooler line removal tool. similar to the picture I put on here.

Just today I was looking up what radiator I used when I replaced mine back in 2013. It was from Performance Radiator, pn 1826. (link below) It is a stock replacement.
It seems to have held up just fine since then and I tow a 2,200 lb boat and trailer with my Blazer. I can't remember if I looked for one with greater cooling capacity than this one at the time though.

I like my radiator drain plug... just saying...
and I've never had to use one of those tools, I just use a pick and pop out the spring clip in the fitting for the oil lines and trans lines, works every time

I think this is the same one you get at O'Reilley's
Been fine in my 2001 Blazer the last 2 years in front of brand new engine. Don't tow, but have had 100° weather running A/C. No tax. Find something to order for $4.00+ more and then no shipping or handling charge either. Comes with new fittings for trans and oil cooler lines.

Nice to have replacement parts available through MSD, but I'm not motivated to pay their price originally. I have a Jegs house brand unit with a MSD cap on my S10 (once tried to start it with the cap not locked down) - now it even says MSD on it! Here's a case where the Chinese junk works great - but you have to be careful that you don't pay too much for the same stuff!

I got mine at Advance auto and didn't have a problem with it, until I broke the drain plug. They replaced it under the lifetime warranty. And replacing the trans and oil cooler lines is pretty easy without a tool. Just pop the spring clips out and snap them back in.
