Default 2001 S10 Blazer

I'm hoping someone can help me out a little. I just had my blazer at the shop because the 4x4 stop working, they replaced the tccm and the transfer case motor. The 4 wheel drive worked for maybe 3-4 times then it was tested but after that it just stopped working. When I push the button for either 4 wheel drive high or low the light comes only when you hit the button, it doesn't blink just goes right back into 4 wheel drive high. I called the shop and now they say it sounds like the transfer case but I'm not sure, sounds like something came unhooked, when I hit the button you cant even hear the transfer case motor even try to move only the clicking.

Sounds like they were guessing at what the problem was, and now they're trying to scare you away with a high dollar repair, cuz they don't have a clue. We need to start from scratch The switch on the dash, does it have 3 buttons or 4?

Simple stuff first...

It may only need a reset: With all accessories turned off, disconnect the negative battery terminal. Open the driver door, (this will drain any residual voltage from the memories in the vehicle). Wait 10 minutes. Reconnect the battery and turn the ignition to the RUN position for 30 seconds, do not start the engine or operate any accessories. Then turn the ignition to the OFF position. Fire it up and try it out, post your results.

Well I did all that and then when I started the blazer I pushed the 4wheel high button and I could hear the clicking coming from the tccm. The tccm clicked 4 times and the and the 4 wheel high button clicked four times then went back to 2wheel high. I tried it in P n and in drive going very slow. Now its right back the way it was, you hit the 4wheel high button just clicks and goes right back to 2wheel high

In your first post you said it goes back to 4HI, now it goes back to 2HI?

I'm sorry that was a mistake, it didn't go back to 4 wheel high like I said in the first post, it went back to 2 wheel high

ok.

#1 When you select 4HI and you hear the TCCM (in passenger side kick panel) click, can you hear the transfer case try to shift?

#2 When you say the 4HI button "clicked" do you mean the light in the button blinked 4 times?

#1 I can hear the click of the tccm but I don't hear transfer case motor trying to engage(and its brand new)
#2 When I hit the button the 4HI light blinks four times and the tccm makes a click sound four times also.

With the engine at idle, unplug the vacuum connector from the front axle actuator switch located on the firewall just above the distributor. Looks like this:

Does one of the vacuum lines have manifold vacuum?
