Yah that looks like the drain plug, the filter can be a you know, anyway depending on the brand you can either use one of those like filter socket things, a screw driver to stick through it and turn, or on my last change I found that wearing a set of latex gloves I could grab on with both and turn it loose.

Yep, that's the oil drain plug. If you want a tranny drain plug you gotta install one yourself. As far as the filter... I use those big oil filter pliers that most parts stores sell.

When you go to replace your oil filter, make sure you only tighten it 3/4 turn after you make contact. That, plus the oil on the o-ring will make it easy for you to take off next oil change. When you go to refill your oil, fill it until the oil is all the way to the top of the dipstick. Then run your engine for about 5 seconds, turn it off and check the oil again after about a min or two. The reason you do this is because when you start your engine, you're filling up that oil filter, and the oil level will go down. I know you can get the exact measurement of oil to go in your engine from the book, but I never trust those things.

That is pretty much exactly what my oil plug looks like. Mine takes a 15 mm socket. I oly change my own filter because everywhere else always cranks it too tight. My last 5 oil canges I have been able to take my filter off by hand. the seal does need to be lubricated though... Sorry a little late but I had to put my 2 cents in
