Luckily I stopped my engine before the temp was into the red. But...the air conditioning stopped blowing cold...hope its okay. Engine running stupid hot and no fan turning, Belts are fine. It has to be the fan clutch. Its a fluid unit...no electrical going to it. My question is, what causes these to just stop engaging? There was no warning...no noise or anything. Thanks for any insight. Rant /off. Blaze /on.

 

OK....figr'd it out. The bottom part of the fan shroud had popped out of position and jammed up the fan...so I yanked out that bottom half of the shroud and tossed it over the fence. Hopefully this decision isnt problematic. Shroud schmroud.... :-)
